The STIR project's Brand Mark Development snapshots.

Our goal was to develop supporting collateral brand elements to strengthen the brand recognition and to make the brand more versatile.

We concluded that the fully detailed crest will be used in high profile situations like the intros to our videos and on the cover images for our features, while the derivative brand mark will be used on subset imagery and in low profile situations. The reasoning was that the mark should not be too distracting and that it should not vie with the subject matter in the image. Thus, the derivative (more simplified) mark was developed for this purpose.

The Art Direction should naturally be aligned with the Editorial Philosophy:

- to inform (20%) and to entertain (80%)
- present the beauty of women while giving insight into their personalities, habits, opinions.
- appeal to the natural voyeur in men
- retain an element of sophistication with a not-so-serious approach to the absurdities around us. (this will an interesting challenge for the writers)
- embody fun and freedom of opinion while remaining composed.
- allow men to be men.
