Hey guys. Here's yet another version of the STIR layout. Thanks to all the constructive feedback from all of you designers on DA, i've made some modifications from the previous layout seen here: [link]
Most significant changes i've made was to make everything smaller than before and making it more 1024 friendly. I've also added the navigation column on the left which solved the issue of the not-so-obvious navigation links used on the previous design.
The Sub Features area underneath the main image has now been re-conceived and reserved for girl of the week and a few internal ads. The past design reserved the Sub Feature section to highlight girls that are in the archive, but that was replaced with a Top 5 girls section on the right column. I might have a featured girl underneath that list in the future.
It's still a work in progress, as I haven't done any work on the community section yet.
It's "decent" enough for a version 1.0 i think. so I'm going to go with this design for now and get the site up instead of pulling a Howard Hughes and meticulating over every minute detail. Hopefully this Spruce Goose will fly.
nice, but i think your font is a little serious for this type of site.

yeah i'm kind of on the fence as to what to do with that space.. some sites use it for internal ads like FHM does.. others like maxim and xxl use it for external ads.
I'll put an ad there and see if it feels too "over the top"
This is good, looks really professional. Although, I do prefer the first one...It's just more fun. This seems...commercial? The other layout seemed to me, to be a lot more personal, more unique. But I also have no credibility or education concerning webdesign at this level.
Don't think this is just another news article with the usual love deviations that have already hundreds of favorites! All of these deviations don't have even 100 favorites & they're the best!
Please watch them closely and show your appreciation! @
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More

My other pants are also unworn.
the top bar may be a bit too big still, unless you plan to have advertising up there in the empty space.
